How to Approve Facebook CommentsHow to Approve Facebook Comments

As a page administrator you have the option of viewing all comments before they appear on your facebook wall. This is a great way to ensure that nothing is posted before you can see it first, especially if your page is associated with a negative event or topic. There are also a few other settings that you can change to help with moderation. One is the ability to block certain words so that any comment that contains those words will be automatically hidden until you approve it or delete it. This can be found under the ‘Manage permissions’ tab when you view your page. There is also an inbuilt profanity blocklist with two levels (medium and strong).

You can also enable post approve facebook comments in your privacy settings so that any photo or post you are tagged in must be approved before it appears on your timeline. To find this setting, click your name at the top of Facebook and then click View Activity Log, followed by Edit beside Review Tags on Your Posts.

Finally, if you are seeing inappropriate content on your facebook profile or page, you can report it to Facebook by clicking the three horizontal dots in the review’s top right corner and selecting “Find Support” or “Report Review.” Follow the prompts to report why you believe the review violates Facebook’s guidelines. They may not remove the content immediately, but will investigate and take appropriate action if necessary.
